Ciara Barker is a coach, a mother, and the reason this program exists. She built Monarch Mothers because postpartum care — the way she lived it, and the way she watched other women live it — was not a real plan. It was a 6-week appointment and a shrug.
This is the program she wished she’d had.
I became a mother in 2022 — and postpartum transformed me in ways I never expected.
What was both beautiful and challenging led me to my purpose: helping other women feel supported, strong, and confident through motherhood. In 2023, I became a certified Postpartum Doula and began working with mothers during one of the most intimate and life-changing seasons of their lives.
Through Monarch Mothers, I combine doula support with intentional, functional training designed specifically for pregnancy and postpartum. My approach focuses on rebuilding from the inside out — supporting your core, pelvic floor, and overall strength so you can feel confident in your body again.
Three years in, I’ve worked with nearly fifty clients — fifteen of them mothers walking through early postpartum. Every one of them shaped what Monarch Mothers is today.
This isn’t about bouncing back.
It’s about transforming into a stronger, more aligned version of yourself.
Slowing down is not a luxury. It is clinical. The 5-5-5 rule is not optional — it’s the work.
Strength is built on top of a functional foundation, never before it. Always in that order.
Early recovery is emotional, not athletic. The first 30 days are about being held. Coaching comes when the body is ready.
I won’t talk about returning to the woman you were before. I’ll help you become the strongest version of the mother you’ve now become.
The Foundation is the full 20-week recovery program — pelvic floor first, phased rebuild, and a planning call with Ciara to set you up. Enroll at any stage, from 36 weeks pregnant onward.
